One of the most prolific batters to watch out for during the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka series was Babar Azam. He leads the Pakistan team and has an excellent track record in all three formats. It is challenging to dismiss the magnificent batter but in Sri Lanka, there is a bowler against whom Babar Azam does not succeed. Even after trying for thousand times to flee, Babar fails to succeed.
Prabhat Jayasuriya, the left-arm spinner, constantly caused trouble for Babar Azam whenever he entered the fold in front of Sri Lanka. This is obvious given that Babar has been out on six occasions in the last seven innings thanks to Jayasuriya, which is significant in Test cricket.
Prabhat Jayasuriya struck out Babar Azam six times throughout the course of his last seven innings. Against Prabhat, Babar collected 172 runs across 7 innings. He has a strike rate of 53.8 and an average of 28.66. In 7 innings, Prabhat bowled 324 deliveries to Babar and struck him six times. These numbers demonstrate how Babar ultimately loses his wicket and appears vulnerable against the bowling of this bowler.
Sri Lankan spinner Prabhat Jayasarya has 58 wickets across 12 innings in 9 Test matches. The bowler also competed in two ODIs but has not lived up to the mark as he failed to pick up any wickets during this time.
The second Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan
The third day of the second Test involving Sri Lanka and Pakistan is being played today, 26th July. After Sri Lanka reached 166 runs during the first innings, Pakistan responded by scoring 328 runs while losing four wickets. At the crease, opener Abdullah Shafiq is undefeated on 159 and former skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is unbeaten on 5. In this innings, Prabhat Jayasuriya dismissed Babar Azam.
Sri Lanka would be looking to mount a comeback in their second innings to save the Test and earn some valuable World Test Championship points. Pakistan would be looking at an innings victory over the hosts as they look to a series double over the Asia Cup champions.
Fans react to Prabath Jayasuriya getting Babar Azam dismissed for the sixth time in Test cricket:

He bowls at 75-83 mph. So is Babar struggling against slow spinners? Prabath has a beautiful flight to his delivery ??and a good arm ball. Looks a solid bowler did ok in NZ also ??

If Prabath can inflict this level of misery to Babar, imagine what Jadeja can do against him in red ball cricket. Plus Jaddu likes taking on the opposition skippers… Clarke, Smith, Cook to list a few
