The schedule for the home matches leading right through the 2023 ODI World Cup as well as the 2024 T20 World Cup has been made public by the Indian Cricket Board. There will be a total of 16 home games between Team India and opponents including Australia, England, as well as Afghanistan.

After the conclusion of the 2023 Asia Cup, the Men in Blue’s home matches will start, excluding those at the ODI World Cup. Beginning on September 22, a three-match ODI series versus Australia will be played in Mohali, Rajkot, and Indore, respectively.

After the ODI World Cup, the Men in Yellow will play a second bilateral series within the subcontinent. From November 23 to December 3, 2023, five Twenty20 International matches between India and Australia are scheduled to take place in Vizag, Trivandrum, Guwahati, Nagpur, and Hyderabad.

After returning following their all-format trip to South Africa, Team India will have their next domestic assignment in the early months of 2024. From January 11 to January 17, 2024, they will be welcoming Afghanistan to a three-match T20I series in Mohali, Indore, and Bengaluru, respectively. The upcoming series will be the first time the two teams will compete in white-ball cricket outside of the major world tournaments.

India vs England – January to March 2024

From January 25, 2024, until March 7, 2024, the most anticipated home Test series versus England will take place. The five-match tournament will be held at Hyderabad, Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi, as well as Dharamsala as the host cities. This will also mark the Indian team’s first home series during the 2023–25 World Test Championship (WTC).

The last team to defeat India at home was England which was back in 2012, but in the first edition of the WTC, cycle lost 3-1 on their most recent tour to the subcontinent. In addition, Team India is anticipated to host New Zealand and Bangladesh as part of their WTC campaign towards the end of 2024. 

Prior to the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, their last home match was an ODI series versus Australia in March 2023.
