Meanwhile, star India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has praised Kohli and compared his career with that of Tennis legend Novak Djokovic. Speaking about Kohli’s 13000 ODI runs, Karthik said that both came when two superstars were achieving milestones and no one expected someone to break them. He said that completing 13,000 runs in 267 innings is unreal.
“To get it in 267 innings is unreal. It is very much comparable to what Novak Djokovic has done because when he started his career, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were flying, and they reached a point where they said no man in the open era can reach what they have done”, says Dinesh Karthik.
“But Djokovic has come and said, ‘I am going to change everything about that.’ He has gone on to achieve more than them in terms of numbers. What this man has achieved in 267 innings is to come close to some of the greats who have played the game, and we are adding up all the formats”, he further added.

In one-day internationals, India legend Sachin Tendulkar has scored the highest number of centuries, i.e., 49. Virat Kohli scored his 47th ton against Pakistan on September 10 and is currently looking comfortable enough to accomplish Sachin’s record. He will also aim to continue his dominance with the bat to help India win the ongoing Asia Cup and the upcoming ODI World Cup.
