Rumours of Heath Streak’s demise circulated widely, causing concern and confusion among cricket fans and the sporting community. Debuting in 1993 against Pakistan, Streak rapidly made his mark, capturing eight wickets in his second Test in Rawalpindi. He has been phenomenal throughout his career and has led Zimbabwe to glory. Streak’s illustrious 12-year career spanned 65 Test matches and 189 ODIs. He shouldered Zimbabwe’s cricketing pride, often single-handedly, during challenging times.

Streak, who led Zimbabwe from 2000 to 2004, has been one of the biggest advertisers in the game. Streak’s legacy encountered a setback when the Apex Cricket Council imposed an eight-year ban on him for anti-corruption violations.
