Since its release last week, the Sunny Deol film ‘Gadar 2’ has made a lot of money. The film hit the Rs 300 crore threshold on Friday, according to Bollywood industry expert Taran Adarsh. Gadar 2 is the follow-up to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar, directed by Anil Sharma. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprise their roles as Tara Singh, Sakeena, and Jeete, respectively, in the sequel.
The story takes place in both Pakistan and India. So it’s no surprise that Sunny Deol is promoting India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match for official broadcasters Star Sports.
The veteran actor can be seen requesting the fans to support India against Pakistan during their Asia Cup match next month. He said, “Asia Cup mein India vs Pakistan ka match shuru hone se pehle toh main Sunny Deol hi hota hun. Par ye jabarjast mukabala shuru hote hi, main Tara Singh ban jana hai. Agar ‘gadar’ machana hai iss game mein toh aao team India ke liye haath uthao. Men in Blue ka josh badhao. (Before the start of the India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup, I am Sunny Deol only, but as the game begins, I will become Tara Singh. If you want to revolt in this game then come and raise your hands for Team India. Increase the zeal of Men in Blue).”
Sunny Deol may be seen wearing the ‘Gadar 2’ character in a Star Sports post on X, previously known as Twitter. He claims he swaps Sunny Deol for Tara Singh, which is the movie’s primary character.
Asia Cup 2023 to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka
The tournament will go off on August 30 at Multan, Pakistan, with a match involving Pakistan and Nepal. The much-anticipated India-Pakistan battle will take place on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. On September 4, India will meet Nepal during the final group stage match at the same location.
Pakistan is going to hold three group-stage contests as well as one Super Four event. The remainder of the event will be held in Sri Lanka. The final will be held on September 17 in Colombo.
