In the most recent World Men’s ODI Batting Rankings, Indian opening batter Shubman Gill has secured a career-best second place, just behind Pakistan’s all-format skipper Babar Azam. Shubman Gill, who is now playing in the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2023, has amassed 154 runs, including two half-centuries, and was rewarded by moving up one spot to second in the most recent World ODI Rankings.
Babar Azam currently holds the lead with 863 rating points, followed by Gill with 759 points, and the Indian opener has reduced the difference at the top up to a mere 103 rating points. In addition to Shubman Gill, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma and superstar batter Virat Kohli saw increases in their rankings as a result of their impressive batting performance at the Asia Cup, which helped them advance to the championship game without suffering a single loss.
Kuldeep Yadav reaped rewards for excellent performances during Asia Cup 2023
