In the Under-19 ODI World Cup final, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. The short balls also had extra bite whenever pitched in the correct areas, and the Team India fast bowlers undoubtedly received some assistance. However, there isn’t much assistance for the spinners as seen in the first innings. Harry Dixon and Hugh Weibgen formed a respectable alliance after Sam Konstas was sent back early. But Naman Tiwari’s stunning second spell saw both out in the span of five runs.
After that, Harjas Singh showed off with a few stunning shots to record his highest score of the competition. In the last ten overs, Oliver Peake stood his ground and took Australia in reaching 240. It was still a difficult track to bat on, but the Indian batters would have been confident of chasing it down. Australia required some early wickets to put some pressure on the sub-continent nation.
Australia win Under-19 World Cup title with stunning victory
The Indian team got off to a poor start with the in-form batter Arshin Kulkarni back to the sheds during the third over of the game. Adarsh Singh and Musheer Khan held the innings for a while. The Australian bowlers were precise with their line and lengths and did not let the Indian batters to dominate the proceedings.
India found themselves in heaps of trouble at 91 for 6 after just 26 overs. The Australian bowlers bowled some amazing deliveries to get the better of the opposition batters. The heroes for Team India in the last match, Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas were sent back for single digit scores by the Oceania giants.
Adarsh Singh and Murugan Abhishek were the only positives for Team India in this final from the batting perspective. Mahli Beardman and Raf Macmillan were clinical with the ball as they both scalped three wickets each. Australia was able to wrap things up and take home their 3rd Under-19 World Cup title.

Koi na. They played very well.
The intent to not lose at any stage was very good. Every player stepping up in different game was the positive outcome. They played a proper team game.??— RanaJi? (@RanaTells) February 11, 2024
