In his four-over spell, Kartik clinched a wicket and gave up just 27 runs, but what shocked fans was his constant pace.
In the death overs, Kartik was seen bowling at a hefty speed of 153 KMPH. With his amazing bowling performance and speed, Kartik shocked fans. It’s worth noting that in the ongoing tournament, Kartik is making a comeback after injury, and his lightning speed is making it more special. In the ongoing tournament, he has taken five wickets in four games at an economy rate of 7.34.
UP outplays Gujarat in the pre-quarterfinals!
After great bowling performances, UP restricted Gujarat to a below-par total in Mohali. In their 20 overs, Gujarat scored 127 runs after losing eight wickets. Saurabh Chauhan has been the highest run scorer for the team, with 32 runs off 21 balls with the help of four fours and a six. UP pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar clinched three wickets, while Mohsin Khan got two.
In response, UP had a poor start as skipper Karan Sharma got out for a mere 1 run in the very first over. After his departure, Nitish Rana tried to rescue the team, but another opener, Abhishek Goswami, also failed to put up a show. The team was struggling at 22/2 in 3.1 overs. However, Rana, along with Sameer Rizwi, added 81 runs for the third wicket. Rizwin, in his inning, scored 30 runs off 39 balls with the help of three boundaries. In the end, UP won by six wickets, while Rana remained unbeaten for 71 runs off 49 balls.
