Indian cricket team’s star allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, one of the best fielders in the world, performed brilliantly against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, April 9 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. In the 12th match of IPL 2023, Jadeja proved that he is one of the best fielders in the world by grabbing a stunning catch. Jadeja caught the rocket shot of Cameron Green of Mumbai Indians at the non-striker’s end.
Green was batting at 12, and the incident happened on the second delivery of the ninth over in the first innings. When Green attempted to take on Jadeja, the home team was already 73/3 down and the batters were under pressure which left Green with no choice but to smash the ball down the pitch but Jadeja caught the ball in some mini-second. Everyone started praising him on social media. But in the meantime, a 10-year-old tweet of MS Dhoni went viral on social media. This tweet of the CSK captain was for Jadeja’s fielding.

However, Jadeja didn’t just impress everyone with his fielding but his bowling performance was also phenomenal. Three batsmen of Mumbai Indians got trapped in Jadeja’s spin. The left-hander took 3 wickets for just 20 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Jadeja showed the way to the pavilion by dismissing Ishaan Kishan, Green, and Tilak Verma.

Apart from Jadeja, other Chennai bowlers also showcased their bowling skills well. Apart from Jadeja, Mitchell Santner and Tushar Deshpande also took 2-2 wickets each in the match. South African speedster, Sisanda Magala made his IPL debut and took a wicket for 37 in 4 overs.
Mumbai Indians could manage only 157 runs in 20 overs in front of Chennai Super Kings bowling, after which CSK easily won the match in 18.1 overs on the basis of brilliant innings of Ajinkya Rahane (61) and Rituraj Gaikwad (40) by 7 wickets. Rahane played his first match of the IPL 2023 and surprised everyone with his brilliant strokes. No one has imagined that they will get to see Rahane’s this version.
