IPL 2023 defending champions, Gujarat Titans and former winners, Chennai Super Kings are scheduled to play the final. While CSK is looking for its fifth title, GT is looking to defend its title. However, the game continues to be impacted by the rain. Not to forget, the Qualifier Two between GT and Mumbai Indians was also impacted by the same on May 26.
However, that game started after roughly half an hour delay. No overs were lost during the game and the Titans won comfortably. However, two days later, the final between GT and CSK has been delayed by more than half an hour at the time of writing. It is pelting down in Ahmedabad and the visuals from the city aren’t very promising.
Narendra Modi Stadium leaks rainwater from one side of the stadium and crowd had to leave that area.

What do the IPL 2023 playing conditions suggest
Talking about the playing conditions of the final, if the game starts at 9:35 PM IST, the overs won’t be reduced. However, starting beyond this timing will see some deduction in overs. If it continues to rain, the five-over shootout will take place only if the game starts at 12:05 AM tomorrow. On the other hand, if the rain doesn’t allow any game, a reserve day has been allotted for the game, i.e May 29.
