Former India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli and Delhi Capitals director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly had a cold war moment in the ongoing IPL 2023. After the 20th game of the tournament between RCB and DC, players of both teams shook hands. Kohli even shook hands with the Capitals’ head coach, Ricky Ponting. However, when it looked like Ganguly and Kohli will do the same, the former changed his path.

The video of the incident has been going viral on social media. Meanwhile, talking about the game, the former India and RCB skipper continued his good form after his team was asked to bat first. He scored a blistering fifty and thanks to cameos from Glenn Maxwell and Shahbaz Ahmed, the team reached a competitive 174/6. The wicket had something for the bowlers, unlike Chinnaswamy’s surface.

In reply, the 2020 finalists were restricted to 151/9, thanks to the brilliance of Bangalore pacers.

Meanwhile, the 2008 U19 World Cup-winning captain did not just do well with the bat. He also took crucial catches to help his side stranglehold the opposition. Now, the three-time finalists have won two games out of four.

“[On the first catch skier over cover] It was a bit of a tricky one when it went up in the air. I first of all made sure that no one is close to me so I had space to judge the ball. It was quite difficult but the other two were quite easy. I was quite disappointed that I got out to a full toss. I’d been playing really well and after I got to 50, I was targeting 30-35 runs in the next 10 balls. That’s usually how I play and that would’ve helped us get past 200. I mentioned to the guys in the change room that it felt like 175 was enough on this pitch. It felt like it slowed down.”
