Mumbai Indians have qualified for the Qualifier Two

Meanwhile, the above-mentioned incident happened after the former champions locked horns with their arch-nemesis, Lucknow Super Giants. Notably, the Super Giants had won all their games (Three) against the five-time winners. However, in the game, the Rohit Sharma-led side thrashed their nemesis this time around.

After winning the toss, MI elected to bat first. After losing the first two wickets for 38 runs, the likes of Yadav and Cameron Green added 66 runs in six overs. However, when the team looked like getting past 200, Naveen ul-Haq’s wickets in the death overs helped his side restrict MI to 182/8. As it turned out, it was more than enough for the most successful IPL side as they bowled out LSG for 101, winning the game by 81 runs.

Akash Madhwal took his maiden five-wicket haul for as many runs in 3.3 overs.

“I was just practising, and waiting for this opportunity. I did my engineering, and played tennis-ball cricket since it was my passion. Engineers have a tendency to learn early! I just practice, and that is what we execute. I’m proud of myself, but I’ll try to be better. Bumrah bhai has his own place, and I’m just trying to play role. Nicholas Pooran was the best wicket. Everyone at home believes I’m working hard,” Madhwal said in the post-match.
