The ongoing Indian T20 League 2022 has seen a lot of entertainment on and off the field. On the field, players such as Jos Buttler, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav etc have given some extraordinary performances to keep the viewers etched to the TV screens. Off the field, players have given some rib tickling memories with social media banters, pranks on teammates etc. The fans recently got another off field moment to cherish when Punjab players aced a few popular Bollywood dialogues.
Punjab uploaded a video of players enacting iconic Bollywood dialogues on its official Instagram account. These players were English all-rounder Benny Howell, Australia pacer Nathan Ellis, West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith, and South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada. The video begins with Howell enacting the dialogue of Bollywood Actor and Producer Shahrukh Khan’s “Bade bade deshon mein aise chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain, Senorita,” from the blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge (1995).
After this, Ellis delivered the dialogue from another movie of Khan which is “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost,” from the movie Om Shanti Om (2007). Further in the video, Rabada enacted Salman Khan’s dialogue which is “Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di fir mai apne baap ki bhi nahi sunta,” from the movie Wanted (2009). The video concluded with Smith enacting the iconic dialogue of Sunny Deol, “Taareekh pe taareekh, taareekh pe taareekh, taareekh pe taareekh,” from the movie Damini (1993).

Meanwhile, the Punjab team is in a precarious situation with the battle for the playoffs intensifying. After losing to Rajasthan in their last encounter, the 2014 finalists need to win their remaining three games to keep their qualification hopes alive.
