The FIFA World Cup 2022 hosted by Qatar saw an epic finish with Lionel Messi’s Argentina lifting the title post defeating France in a penalty shootout, despite a hattrick from Kylian Mbappé. Although Indian players were not a part of the tournament, India had a role to play in the closing ceremony as actresses Nora Fatehi and Deepika Padukone stunned the spectators with their appearances.
While Deepika was invited as a special guest to unveil the trophy, Nora, on the other hand, performed the ‘Light the Sky’ anthem and set the stage on fire, as thousands who gathered there were left with no words on the performance, eventually joining the actress by lighting up the stadium with their mobile phones.
The likes of Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Manal joined the actress in setting the perfect tone for the performance, as Nora kept everyone in awe of her dance moves, making it a perfect finish, in what was one of the epic World Cups of all time in the history of football.

Argentina are champions of FIFA World Cup 2022
The La Albiceleste scored 2 goals in the first half on the back of goals from Messi and Ángel Di María in the 23rd and 36th minutes respectively, only to be matched single-handedly by Mbappé in the 80th and 81st minutes respectively. However, the match was pushed into extra time, with both teams scoring 1 goal apiece, silencing the spectators gathered in the stadium.
Much to the delight of the Argentinian fans, it was their team who lifted the trophy and with billions watching all across the world, it was a perfect finish for the legendary player’s World Cup career. Mbappé, on the other hand, has age under his belt and would look to carry on with the momentum, given that he is already considered to be one of the greats.
Messi was eventually awarded the Player of the Tournament award, with the French star clinching the Golden Boot award. Much to the delight of the football fans, it was Emiliano Martinez who won the Golden Glove award, making it a perfect end to Argentina’s FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign.
