Virat Kohli emerged as a hero in India- Pakistan World Cup encounter
As for the game, it was a game of high intensity the likes of which are very rarely seen on a cricket ground. Pakistan were invited to bat first by Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and were restricted to 159/8 in 20 overs.
The Indian team however could not start off well against the target and were languishing at 31/4 at one point in time. This was when Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli took charge of the run chase and showcased a masterclass partnership to take India to a historic win.
Virat Kohli emerged as the hero of the match with his sensational knock of 82 off of 53 deliveries and gave billions of people an early Diwali.
