MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot became an instant hit when MS Dhoni first played it in the initial days of his career. The shot is effective for him against yorkers, which are hard to hit for a boundary generally. Players such as Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shahzad from Afghanistan have tried to imitate the shot and have got some good results as well.
Recently, a Nepal player pulled off MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot. In a game that was played between Nepal and Papua New Guinea in the Nepal Tri-Nation T20 series, Nepal debutant Mohammad Adil Alam hit Dhoni’s trademark against Nosiana Pokana. The former played the shot in the penultimate over of the innings with the scorecard reading 184/3. The video has gone viral on Twitter.
