England announces playing XI for fourth Test against India

Ahead of the fourth Test of the India vs England 2024 Test series, the Three Lions have announced their playing XI.

Ahead of the fourth Test of the India vs England 2024 Test series, the Three Lions have announced their playing XI. During the series, the Three Lions have been announcing the team a day ahead of the same and they continue to do so. The visitors started the series with a 28-run win late last month. However, the home team, India won the second game by more than 100 runs to level the series.

Last week, the two-time World Test Championship finalists registered their biggest Test win to take a lead of 2-1. Now, they have an opportunity to seal the series. On the other hand, the European team would like to keep the series alive before moving to more favorable conditions in Dharamshala. Meanwhile, ahead of the Ranchi Test, the Ben Stokes-led side has announced their playing XI. They have made two changes to the team.

They have included Ollie Robinson, who will play his first Test in India. He was part of the England Lions team during the three-match unofficial Test series in India. In that series, he bowled decently. Not to forget, in his early Test career, he played India in the 2021 series at home in August-September that year. Meanwhile, apart from Robinson, Shoaib Bashir, who played in the second Test, has replaced Rehan Ahmed while Robinson has replaced Mark Wood.

James Anderson didn’t play in the first Test but played in the second and third games. He will rest for the fourth game. Apart from this, the batting line-up continues to remain the same.
