The first Test of historic Pakistan vs England Test series has been the talk of the town for its record-breaking Day one. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, England batters wreaked havoc on the Pakistan bowling and ended day 1 on the score of 506/4 which is a record for Day one of a Test.
After the action-packed Day one, fans were expecting England to break the record of the highest Test total ever with captain Ben Stokes at the crease with well-set Harry Brook. However, Stokes could only add just seven runs to his overnight score as he got dismissed in the first over of Day 2 by Naseem Shah.
On the sixth ball of the first over of Day 2, Stokes tried to make room and work a short delivery on the off side. However, the southpaw failed to read the slower ball which ended up hitting the stumps as Naseem Shah finally got his first wicket of the match after being smashed for 104 runs in 16 overs. Stokes departed after scoring 41 off 18 balls hitting six fours and two sixes in his innings.

Harry Brook completed his 150 on Day 2
Earlier in the over, Ben Stokes smashed a six on just the second ball of Day 2 as he made his intentions clear right from the word go. Fans were expecting a quick-fire hundred from Stokes but it wasn’t to be.
Meanwhile, Harry Brook continued his brilliant innings from Day 1 as he resumed from 101. After losing captain Stokes, Brook led the charge for England and smashed a six in the very next sending a strong message that there was more carnage to follow.
After etching his name in the history books for hitting six consecutive fours in an over on Day 1, Brook once again unleashed his beast mode in the 83rd over of the innings. He ripped apart Zahid Mahmood clobbering 27 runs in the over with the help of two sixes and three fours. Brook reached 150 in the very next over with consecutive boundaries against Naseem Shah and got finally dismissed in the same over for 153 off 116 balls.
