WATCH: MS Dhoni enjoys tennis match of Carlos Alcaraz during US Open 2023 Men’s Quarter-Finals

Former India skipper MS Dhoni revealed his love for Tennis in recent years. The former India skipper was spotted at the US open which was played between Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev. The former skipper has admitted to being an ardent fan of the legendary Rafael Nadal.

His love for football is world known and he is pretty handy in E-Sports as well. Dhoni is vacationing in the USA and while he was there, he decided to attend the quarter-final of the Men’s singles at the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday. Sony Sports Network, who is the official broadcaster of the US Open in India, shared the video on Twitter to tell the world that ‘Thala’ was in the house.

At the match, MS was seen sharing a joke with his friends who accompanied him. He is enjoying his time off and watching a spectacular game of tennis. Carlos moved one more step closer to the title win. If he wins the US Open title, he will become the first man to win consecutive titles at Flushing Meadows since Roger Federer won five in a row from 2004 to 2008. Retirement did not have any effect on ‘Captain Cool’, he has been active throughout, indulging in the likes of tennis to keep himself fit.

The 20-year-old defeated Alexander Zverev and won the match in straight sets, winning it 6-3, 6-2 and 6-4. On September 9, the Men Singles semi-finals will be played. The first semi-final will be between USA’s Ben Shelton and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic while Carlos Alcaraz will favour Daniil Medvedev, in the second semi-final.

Zverev after the match said, “(If) I could have broken, it could have gone my way. It didn’t.” “Even though I lost the first set, I thought it was going to be a competitive match. I thought my level was there. I thought his level was there. Thought it was going to be a fun one.” He further added, “I didn’t give up,” “but there is very little you can do, in a way, against Carlos then.
