Social media users have been sharing a video of MS Dhoni discreetly celebrating Chandrayaan 3’s successful smooth landing on the Moon on Wedy. The former captain of India can be seen patting his thigh in joy while standing in front of a television screen broadcasting the announcement of the landing while wearing a tank top and shorts.
The third lunar exploration mission from India will be launched on July 14, 2023, by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). India became the first nation to successfully put down a spacecraft close to the lunar south pole as well as the fourth to make a soft landing on the Moon on Wednesday at 18:02 IST.
A clip of his daughter Ziva leaping and cheering in honour of the Chandrayaan landing was also going viral earlier in the day.

The Indian cricket team, which finished their three-match Twenty-20 International series in Ireland, joined in on the celebration and watching. The third and final T20I was washed out due to excessive rain. India still held out to win the series 2-0 despite the no result in the final T20I.
Jasprit Bumrah, the interim skipper for Team India spoke about the added responsibility of the Indian team on his shoulders and how he is loving the new challenge. He said, Very happy to be back and play some cricket. Frustrating when you’re waiting for a game to happen. Did not see this coming, weather was fine in the morning. An honour to lead the side, everyone was very eager and enthusiastic. Whenever you get an opportunity to lead your side, anyone would love to do that.
Bumrah also joked with one of the reporters regarding his long lay-off due to injury. He said, “As a cricketer, you always want responsibilty. All good, no complaints. Not one year (out of the team), 10-11 months (he jokingly corrects Alan Wilkins). Makes my job easier when players are so confident, and they tell me what to do.”
