Kieron Pollard has always been an entertainer on and off the field. He always comes up with unique ways to entertain the crowd, be it him taping his face after an altercation with umpires or his rockstar-like celebrations. The big man was back, this time after losing his wicket in an International League T20 (ILT20) match.

In MI Emirates’ game against Sharjah Warriors, Pollard was dismissed by Junaid Siddique in the 17th over of the second innings. The star batter was bowled on a good-length delivery that stayed a bit low as he fell down and rolled on the pitch. The bowler gave him a joking stare, and Pollard retaliated by hilariously pretending to hit him with his bat.

As he walked off the field, the West Indian all-rounder wrapped his arm around Junaid. The commentators were also thrilled with Pollard’s actions as he displayed great sportsmanship immediately after losing his wicket.

In the meantime, MI Emirates went on to win the match by 6 wickets while chasing a target of 147 runs. Dwayne Bravo, for his excellent display with the ball, was named Player of the Match. He took three wickets in the game while conceding just 25 runs in his four-over spell.

As for the rest of the tournament, the team led by Kieron Pollard has had a great run. They have played three games in the tournament so far and are yet to lose any. They, however, stand third in the points table with a Net Run Rate of 1.369.

The team will look to replicate the legacy of their parent team Mumbai from the Indian T20 League. Pollard has been a part of the team in their five championship seasons and will look to get similar success in the ILT20 with MI Emirates.
