The India vs South Africa match in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday was a highly anticipated game as Pakistan’s hopes of qualification to the semi-finals heavily depended on India’s win in the contest. However, the ‘Men-in-blue’ ended up losing the game by five wickets shattering Pakistan’s hopes of qualification in the tournament ahead. After the match ended, Momin Saqib, famous for his ‘Maaro-Mujhe-Maaro’ video, uploaded a funny video with Youtuber Gaurav Taneja.

In the video, Gaurav, who is wearing India’s jersey, is seen hilariously fainting following India’s loss in the fixture while Momin tries his best to keep him conscious. Both Gaurav and Momin show Pakistan’s dependence on India in a hysterical manner. Momin gives it all to keep Gaurav alive but he ends up closing his eyes leaving Gaurav distraught.

Coming back to the match, it was a highly entertaining affair between the two sides. India won the toss and decided to bat first which was quite unusual for skipper Rohit Sharma. Coming onto bat first, the Indian team came up with a very poor start as both openers KL Rahul (9) and Rohit Sharma (15) were dismissed cheaply.

In-form batter Virat Kohli (12) also failed to take the score forward while World Cup debutant Deepak Hooda failed to even open his account. It was only Suryakumar Yadav who had an answer to South Africa’s pacers. The right-hand batter played a knock of 68 in 40 balls and took India to 133/9.

The target however proved quite easy for South African batters as they chased it down in 19.4 overs after losing just 5 wickets. David Miller and Aiden Markram starred with the bat scoring half-centuries. Markram scored 52 off 41 balls while Miller remained unbeaten on 59 off 46 balls. As a result, South Africa moved to the top of the table while India slid down to the second.

India will next play Bangladesh at Adelaide on 3rd November. Meanwhile, Pakistan are almost out of the semi-final race and depend on rain gods to qualify to the next stage.
