Ahead of the crucial semifinal game against New Zealand, the Indian team will take on the Netherlands in their last league game on Sunday. When the whole country is celebrating the festival of Diwali, Rohit Sharma-led India will face the Dutch team in Bengaluru. However, on the eve of Diwali, Indian team management organised a celebration party.

All World Cup squad members, along with their family members, were present at the auspicious occasion. However, star couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had the limelight. In green, Kurta Kohli looked fabulous, while Anushka also had a great appearance in a maroon ethnic dress. Meanwhile, India skipper Rohit Sharma, along with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira, also graced the event.

Rohit in a light green kurta was looking awesome at the moment, while Ritika in a red ethnic dress also lit up the event. Apart from them, other players like Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Ravichandran Ashwin, Prasidh Krishna, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kuldeep Yadav were also present. Head coach Rahul Dravid, along with other staff members, were also present at the grand celebration.

Can India continue their winning run?

In the ongoing tournament, the Indian team has been phenomenal in every aspect. From bowling to fielding, the team has been amazing on the field. Their efforts have been reflected in the results too, as India is unbeaten in the ongoing tournament. Starting from Australia to the formidable South Africa, India has thrashed each participating country in the ongoing tournament. However, in their last league game, the team will take on the Netherlands at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, team management will look to continue their winning run ahead of the crucial semifinal. It’s worth noting that India will face Kane Williamson-led New Zealand in the first semifinal at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15. The winner will then face the winner of the second semi-final on November 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the finals.
