It is not a common phenomenon for the Indian T20 League fans to be patriotic during a season of the league. During the two months of the high-octane tournament, the fans get divided into fan clubs of different city-based teams. Meanwhile, a video has surfaced on Twitter where fans have sung the ‘Vande Mataram’ song during the Qualifier 2 game between Rajasthan and Bangalore.
Around 1,00,000 fans were present during the game, which is the highest number of spectators in a stadium this season. During the league phase, 25 percent of the stadium capacities were filled with spectators. Coming back to the incident, the fans sang the patriotic song in sync. The video is doing rounds on social media.

Talking about the game, Rajasthan beat Bangalore by seven wickets to advance to the final. The grand finale will be played on May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Qualifier 2 was also played at the same venue. After winning the toss, the Pink Brigade decided to bowl first. The three-time winners could only score 157/8, with Prasidh Krishna, and Obed McCoy taking three wickets each while Trent Boult and Ravichandran Ashwin took one each.
In reply, the 2008-winners won the game with 11 balls to spare and seven wickets in hand. Jos Buttler scored his fourth century of the season to take his side to their second final (the first being in 2008) without any fuss. They will play against Gujarat in the final, who happens to be the home team, and have been absolutely brilliant in the 2022 edition so far. The Indian T20 League debutants will get a fair amount of home support as well.
On the other hand, the Sanju Samson-led side will be looking to give tribute to Late Shane Warne who died of a heart attack on March 4 this year. Warne was Rajasthan’s skipper during the 2008 team, and the team won their only title during the same year. Now, the team has a chance of winning their second title on May 29.
