Cricket is one of the most entertaining sports in the world. The players never fail to enthral the audience with their immaculate cricketing skills. However, there are some moments on the cricket field when players commit some horrible blunders leaving the crowd in splits. A similar incident took place in the European Cricket Championship on Tuesday.
In the viral video, a batter named D Cejas is ready to face the ball as the bowler D. Cooper delivers a full toss. The batter uses his feet and hits the ball to midwicket. Seeing the ball go into the gap, the non-striker Q. Norris straight away calls for a single. The striker quickly responds to the call and starts running for a single. However, Cejas falls down in the middle of the pitch and completes the run by hilariously rolling down to the non-striker’s end.
Cejas completes the run as the fielder fails to hit the stumps. Cejas was applauded by the opposition fielders and his batting partner for getting off the mark in style in his innings.

European Cricket Championship was played in the T10 format. There were a total of 20 teams participating in the competition, which were divided into four groups. All the teams fought for the crown of European cricket Champions. Out of these 21 teams, five teams qualified further for the ‘Championship Week’.
Daniel Doyle-Calle finished as the highest run-scorer of the tournament, with 541 runs at an average of 41.61 and a strike rate of 208.07. He scored three fifties in the tournament in 19 innings.
Clayton Floyd from Netherlands XI finished as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, having 32 wickets to his name at an average of 12.53 and an economy of 10.57. He had five three-wicket hauls to his name in 20 matches.
The final of the tournament was played on 14th October between Netherlands XI and England XI. England batted first and scored 99/8 in their 10 overs. The Netherlands comfortably chased down the total and won by four wickets with five balls to spare.
