Former Indian skipper’s former teammate Sreevasts Goswami has made some huge allegations. The former Indian under-19 World Cup winner posted a few videos on his official Facebook page. Once a player of RCB, Goswami has alleged massive corruption in Bengal’s cricket.

Sneashish Ganguly the elder brother of Sourav Ganguly has responded to the claims. Bengal Cricket has been in the news in recent times for Manoj Tiwary’s retirement. The former India star has made some huge comments in the last days after his retirement.

It is to be noted that, Bengal had crashed out of the Indian domestic trophy without qualifying for the next round. The likes of Sourav Ganguly, Arun Lal, Rohan Gavaskar, Akash Deep, Mohammed Shami, and Mukesh Kumar are products of Bengal cricket.

Sreevasts Goswami makes damning allegations against Bengal Cricket –

Former IPL star and Indian domestic cricketer Sreevasts Goswami has taken massive aim at Bengal Cricket. The 34-year-old was left shocked when he posted two videos on his Facebook page. In one of the videos, the batter can be seen leaving a ball directly straight at his stumps.

The former star wrote “This is a Super Division match in Kolkata Club Cricket, two big teams doing this, any idea what’s going on here? I am ashamed to see this having played the game which is so close to my heart”

Expressing his shock the ex-IPL star continued “I love cricket and I love playing in Bengal but looking at this breaks my heart. Club cricket is the heart and soul of Bengal cricket please don’t ruin it. I think this is called ‘got up’ cricket. Where is the media now?

Current Bengal Cricket president Sneashish Ganguly replied “We have called a tournament committee meeting on 2nd March to take up the matter”. It is learned that Ganguly has asked for a report to be submitted on the issue.

The match in question was between Town Club against Mohammedan Sporting. Batting first Town Club scored 446 with one of their batter scoring a double ton. In reply to this, the Sporting side could only muster 281 runs as they suffered a batting collapse.
