Virat Kohli features in a survey of greatest Athletes of All time

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is the only cricketer to make it to the list of the ‘Top 10 greatest Athletes of All Time’. The survey is conducted by ‘Akimo Philip’. The list is topped by two of the greatest Footballers of All time, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are currently in the first and second spots on the list respectively.

There are two boxers on the list as well. The former Boxers like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson are on the list as well. Ali is rated the third greatest Athlete of all time. On the other hand, Tyson is 7th on the list of greatest athletes of all time according to the survey. Some of the most popular athletes have made it to the list.

Michael Jordan and Lebron James are the two Basketball players to feature in the list. The duo is ranked fourth and eighth in the list respectively. To follow him is the Indian star player. For his contribution to the sport and individual records, Virat features in the list.

No player from the big three of Tennis features in the list

Interestingly, Virat has pipped many great cricketers and other sportspersons to make it to the top five in the list. There are two popular Olympians on the list as well. Michael Phelps, the former swimmer from the USA, and Usain Bolt, the former sprinter from Jamaica, made it to the list as well.

The swimmer is ranked tenth in the list while the sprinter is ranked sixth in the list, a position below the Indian cricketer. Virat also happens to be the only Indian to be on the list. Serena Williams happens to be the only Tennis player to be in the list. She is the only women’s athlete to be on the list.

Serena was picked over some modern greats like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Virat features in the list of some of the top cricket legends like Don Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Garry Sobers, and others. A legend like Dhyan Chand has also missed out on making it to the list.
