Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma invited to the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya

As the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya is down the corner, Indian star batter, Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma have received an official invitation for the Pran Pratishtha. The ceremony is set to happen on January 22. The event will be organised by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on the given date with approximately 7000 people.

Along with Kohli, there are people like Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. Kohli became the second Indian cricketer to receive the invite for the Pran Pratistha. As per reports, the invitation was directly handed over to the couple in Mumbai. Before him, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar had received the invitation.

Kohli is an ardent follower of the Hindu religion and has been seen visiting different temples around the country. PM Narendra Modi is the Chief Guest of the event. Including him, 3000 VVIPs are invited by the Trust.

Family members of the Kar Sevaks who lost their lives invited

Family members of the 50 kar sevaks are also invited who had lost their lives during the Ram temple movement. The people who were the volunteers during the Ram temple movement were known as Kar sevak. The unfortunate event happened in 1990 when the kar sevaks were killed in the police firing. The firing happened after the order of the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav. Thus, the government has taken the initiative to invite all the family members of the kar sevaks.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai was quoted by the PTI, “Family members of the 50 kar sevaks who lost their lives during the Ram temple movement have also been invited. Invitations have also been sent to judges, scientists, writers and poets.”
