UFC star accused of racism after ‘until he’s black’ comment about Dricus du Plessis

At UFC 287, Adesanya recently defended his middleweight championship against veteran foe Alex Pereira

Recently, Israel Adesanya said certain things about Dricus du Plessis’ ancestry that the supporters didn’t like. It goes without saying that the Kiwi, a Nigerian-born fighter, was not pleased with the South African fighter’s remarks that he was “more African” than the “Three African Kings” (Kamaru Usman, Francis Ngannou, and Israel Adesanya). While the two have traded blows, “The Last Stylebender” recently attacked du Plessis and accused him of using slurs in a profanity-filled rant on his YouTube channel.

Israel Adesanya’s choice of words upset fans, and they chastised him for bringing up Dricus du Plessis’ race in their argument. In the comments area of a tweet that questioned the UFC middleweight champion’s behaviour, followers and Twitter users shared their opinions.

One commenter drew attention to Chael Sonnen’s assessment of Adesanya’s actions and wrote: “As Chael said, maybe Izzy has gone full heel.” At the same time, another said: “Izzy has always said some racist/sensitive stuff and got away with it. Won’t be any different this time. At least he is honest.”

‘The Last Stylebender’ – Dricus du Plessis is viciously criticised by Israel Adesanya

Israel Adesanya recently attacked the South African fighter in a vicious outburst in response to Dricus du Plessis’ remarks regarding his African ancestry.

At UFC 287, Adesanya recently defended his middleweight championship against veteran foe Alex Pereira. The Nigerian-born Kiwi defeated the Brazilian for the first time with an incredible second-round knockout. ‘The Last Stylebender’ declared in the post-fight news conference that he would “drag his carcass across South Africa” after his victory and suggested they would fight again.

The two continue to argue, and Adesanya is determined to fight du Plessis next. In a recent edition of his new podcast, he mentioned: “I’m gonna take him to school, in the octagon, and on history. What he’s doing is creating a divide… As a product of colonisation, you’re trying to tell me who the f*** I am… But the fact that as a f****** cracker, to tell me who the f*** I am, that pissed me off, and that’s why he’s my next fight. I don’t want to fight anyone else. This one pisses me off.”
