After being directed to bowl again, New Zealand was assigned a target of 540. But the Indian batters again outwitted them thanks to some subpar bowling. In the second innings, New Zealand did demonstrate a lot more tenacity. Mitchell was the only one to counterattack, however the others were ticking time bombs. All they did, Nicholls included, was postpone the inevitable. New Zealand was thus hustled out before drinks this morning.
