Salman Khan’s biggest opening yet came with the third instalment of the Tiger franchise. Tiger 3, starring Katrina Kaif, debuted on Diwali a day ago and grossed Rs 43 crore on Day 1, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Tiger 3 is a “game changer.” According to Mr Adarsh, because no major Hindi film has been released on Diwali day in over a decade. The film has set a Diwali record and given its star his best first day at the box office.
Taking it to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, the trade analyst tweeted, “While no major Hindi film has been released on Diwali Day in over a decade (the film industry is severely impacted because people are busy with festivities and Laxmi Puja), Tiger 3 emerges as a game changer. All BO records for Diwali Day are decided. Not only is Tiger 3 the highest opening on Diwali Day, but it is also Salman Khan’s biggest opening ever (yes, you read that correctly!). On Sunday, 43 cr. Meanwhile, ahead of the release of Tiger 3, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have asked fans not to reveal any film spoilers. The stars wrote on their respective Instagram Stories, “We have made Tiger 3 with a lot of passion and we are counting on you to protect our spoilers when you see the film. Spoilers can ruin your moviegoing experience. We believe you will do the right thing. We hope Tiger 3 is the ideal Diwali gift for you!! “In Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, it will be released in theatres tomorrow.”
Tiger 3 is the franchise’s third instalment. Maneesh Sharma directs the film, which follows the spy franchises Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) from Yash Raj Films. Salman and Katrina will reprise their roles as agents Tiger and Zoya, respectively. This time, Emraan Hashmi plays the main antagonist. Revathy makes an appearance in the film as well. This is the first YRF film to feature Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan in the same frame. Fans are looking forward to seeing the blockbuster action-spy film in theatres. Bollywood’s Bhaijaan will play his iconic character Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger in this epic film series.
