Three Changes Delhi Need To Do To Win against Lucknow

Delhi Capitals

Delhi started with a win against former champions Mumbai in their first game. The 2020 finalists snatched the victory from the jaws of defeat against MI. However, in the next game against Gujarat, they lost from a situation where they should have won.

Notably, in these games, the top order of the Men In Blue and Red has struggled in the absence of some of their star players. Here, we will discuss three changes the team can make to win their next game against Lucknow.

  1. David Warner for Tim Seifert

Team assistant coach Shane Watson has confirmed that David Warner will be available for selection for the next game. Tim Siefert opened the innings in the first two games as Warner wasn’t available due to international commitments.

Meanwhile, Siefert returned with 21 and 3 in the two games. His performances don’t really inspire a lot of confidence. The Kiwi should replaced by the one who is one of the most successful batters in the Indian T20 League.

2. Sarfaraz Khan for Mandeep Singh

Mandeep Singh has looked out of sorts in the two games he played this season. The right-hander has returned with scores such as 0 and 18 respectively. Sarfaraz Khan had a great outing in the first leg of this year’s Ranji Trophy with the bat. Khan was the third-highest run-getter with 551 runs in three games averaging 137.75 including the highest score of 275. Delhi could think of giving him a game against Lucknow.

3. Anrich Nortje for Mustafizur Rahman

This change is obvious as Anrich Nortje is available for selection which means that Mustafizur Rahman might have to make way for him. Nortje has a wonderful record for the team, playing 24 games and has 34 scalps to his name averaging 20.55  and has an economy of 7.65.
