The former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Ramiz Raja was fired from his role at the top in December last year. Najam Sethi replaced him in the office overnight, and the news gained a lot of traction. Raja served as PCB chairman for 15 months after being appointed in September 2021 by former Prime Minister and World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan.
The decision was made by the country’s government in the aftermath of Pakistan’s dismal performance in the Test series against England, in which the hosts lost 0-3. During his brief tenure, Pakistan made tremendous progress in white-ball cricket, reaching the semifinals and finals of the previous two 20-20 World Cups. They also advanced to the Asia Cup finals, where they defeated India in the Super 4 stage.
Now, the former PCB president has made some shocking revelations in the aftermath of his sacking. He revealed that a member of the PCB staff shared pictures of his personal belongings with the media that included a copy of FIR with the address and personal information of Mohammad Hafeez.
“There was a joker of PCB who shared the picture of my personal things on twitter which I left in the chairman office of PCB. One of the journalists shared a copy of the FIR with the address and personal information of Mohammad Hafeez mentioned and not hidden. Journalists should do responsible journalism and respect the privacy,” Raja said, as quoted by Arfa Feroz Zake, a Pakistani journalist.

Earlier, Raja made shocking revelations about the treatment he received the morning after his dismissal was announced. In a video available on his YouTube channel, Raja said: “Aisa inhone hamla kiya cricket board mein aake. Mera saman bhi nahi lene diya inlogo ne. Subah yeh 9 baje, 17 bande dhandate fir rahe they cricket board mein. Jaise ki koi FIA ka chapa par gaya.” (They way they attacked the cricket board. They didn’t even let me take my stuff. Early morning at 9 around 17 guys stormed at the office, which felt as if the Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan has raided the office).
