Thank You For Coming box office report – Film faces Monday blues, earns only 35 lakh

 Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh and Shibani Bedi have been making a buzz on social media since their film announcement. The Bollywood director Karan Boolani made his directorial debut with this sex-comedy. The film was released on 6th October at the theatres. However, it is not doing as good as its hype on social media. According to the latest report, the film faced some major Monday blues at the start of the week as it managed to collect ?35 lakh.

The recently released Bhumi Pednekar starrer sex-comedy is struggling to mint collection from the box office. It is facing a poor start as the audience refrains from coming to the theatres to watch this latest film. The ‘Thank You For Coming’ girl gang has given their all for the promotions. A lot of their promotional events are trending on social media. Moreover, they have also been receiving backlash from the netizens over their unique style of clothes and the film’s theme.

Thank You For Coming at the box office:

As per the early estimates released by Sacnilk.com, the movie recorded only 11.74 per cent occupancy in the theatres on Monday. The four-day total of the movie stands at ?4.77 crore. The movie was released along with Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganjh and Sunny Deol’s son Rajveer Deol’s debut film Dono. However, none of the films especially stood out from the others and made big numbers.

The movie had been receiving a lot of trolls on social media from the Indian audience. The netizens didn’t like the concept and theme of the film. Moreover, the Twitter reaction to the trailer was also not very good. Even though Shehnaaz Gill‘s fans showed her ultimate support and defended her it did no good with the trolls.

Talking about Thank You For Coming, the movie revolves around five friends and their tryst on the concept of sexual pleasures of women. Indian film actors Anil Kapoor and Karan Kundrra have special appearances in this sex-comedy. While Karan Boolani has directed this movie, his wife Rhea Kapoor has co-produced it.
