Jos Buttler's exalting words ahead of summit clash vs Pakistan in 20-20 World Cup 2022

The Jos Buttler-led England team made it to the summit clash of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 after defeating India in the semi-finals on November 10, Thursday and the Three Lions will face off against Pakistan on Sunday at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

As things stand, England’s skipper Buttler, opened up on the win against India and the finals against the Men in Green. Further, Buttler said that his team would await Pakistan’s approach and then decide on how to tackle their strategies.

“I think we’re a good team, I think that’s probably where the performance comes from. Some brilliant players in the team. When they play their best, we’re a tough team to beat. Incredibly dangerous side, huge confidence in the group,” Buttler was quoted as saying.

“We will see how they pull up and hopefully progress to be available for selection come the final,” said the Three Lions skipper further when asked on playing against a fiery Pakistan brigade in the summit clash.

Rain to ruin party in MCG for Jos Buttler and Babar Azam?

Amid all the chaos, rain is expected to play a spoilsport on an epic day and it remains to see if the match will be played on the reserve day. For the unversed, with 95% precipitation, the match on Sunday might get washed out and many fans opined that the reserve day could come as a relief for the teams. However, it could also be washed out as 90% precipitation is expected on the reserve day on Monday as well.

If at all the match gets washed out on both days, the trophy will be shared and both England and Pakistan would emerge as the joint winners of the showpiece event. As things stand, Pakistan would be hopeful for a full game and would hope for a repeat of 1992, when the Imran Khan-led team won against the mighty England team in the 50-over World Cup.

The Three Lions look extremely strong and it will not be easy for the Asian team to counter the batting onslaught from Alex Hales and Buttler. England, on the other hand, would have to brace to face the fiery Pakistani pace battery.
