As the prestigious ODI World Cup approaches, teams have started gathering in India. After finishing their three-match ODI series against Bangladesh New Zealand took India-bound flight to participate in the biggest cricketing carnival. However, as a relief for them, star batter and skipper Kane Williamson is also travelling with the team.

Williamson, who is running out of action due to injury, has started preparing for the ODI World Cup and is currently travelling with the team. It might not surprise people if Williamson makes the squad in the later stages of the tournament after getting fully fit. However, fans were delighted to watch him travel to India as he has a great fanbase in India too.

It’s worth noting that the Kiwis are running high on morale as they clinched their first-ever ODI series victory against Bangladesh in the last 15 years. Their performance against subcontinent teams has been phenomenal. The team will look to continue their dominance in the ODI World Cup as they have made it into the final for the last two seasons and would like to change the result this time.
