‘Rajdhani se bhi tej’- Twitter ecstatic as India runs through South Africa’s batting line up, bowls them out at 99/10 in third ODI

India vs South Africa

India vs South Africa’s third ODI match was billed as a highly competitive match between two strong teams. With the series level at 1-1, both sets of fans would have hoped for a close contest between the two sides. However, it was anything but.

Having won the toss, India chose to bowl first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Indian went into the game with no changes in the bowling lineup and looked quite confident about halting the visiting team to a low score.

No one however had anticipated the kind of performance that the Indian bowling lineup brought about. The Men in Blue bowled the South African team at just 99 in 27.1 overs subjecting the visiting team to their fourth-lowest ODI score.

The Indian team were on top from the word get-go as they troubled the South African opening pair of Janneman Malan and Quinton de Kock from the first ball itself. Washington Sunder, playing in just his second match after injury, broke the deadlock with a wicket of De Kock in the third over. The southpaw’s wicket opened the floodgates and the South African team could not stop the fall of wickets from then on.

Having tasted blood once, the Indian bowling lineup increased the intensity even further and the South African batter could not do anything and crumble under the Indian pressure.

Heinrich Klassen was South Africa’s best batter as he made 34 off of 42 and held the fort from one end. The other end however kept giving way to the Indian surcharge with the spin trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed cleaning up batters one after the other.

Yadav took four and two were clinched by Sundar and Ahmed each felling the South African team to a score of just 99/10. Twitter was understandably buzzing after India’s dominating performance against South Africa in the third ODI  match.

Let’s look at how Twitter reacted to India’s dominance against South Africa:
