The 15th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will be remembered for a long time due to some unbelievable efforts by players on the field and some rare instances. With a nail-biting finish off the last ball, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by a wicket in the game. However, before the last ball mayhem, LSG star batter Nicholas Pooran created havoc at the M Chinnaswamy stadium as he scored the fastest fifty of the season.
After Kolkata Knight Riders’ heroics on Sunday, LSG’s amazing chase of a massive 213 target on the final ball of the game was the second thriller of this IPL season. At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Pooran smoked the quickest fifty of the year while batting in the beast mode. After Stoinis’ blitzkrieg 30-ball 65, he scored a stunning 19-ball 62 to assist Lucknow come closer to the enormous target.
Meanwhile, after the game, Pooran shared an image of an RCB fan crying after the game. His story went viral on social media as fans were left in splits with his post. Notably, with this victory the Lucknow Super Giants grabbed the top spot in the points table. They have six points after winning three games in four matches.
IPL fined Avesh Khan for an aggressive celebration
Meanwhile, after the game, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Avesh Khan was reprimanded for his “aggressive behaviour” when he threw a helmet on the ground while celebrating the victory of his team. “Lucknow Super Giants’ Avesh Khan has been reprimanded for breaching the Code of Conduct. Mr Avesh admitted to level 1 offence 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction”, Stated IPL press release For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct.
Notably, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis has been also penalized for slow over-rate. According to the officials, he has been fined INR 12 Lakhs as it is his first mistake. Meanwhile, fans react to Nicholas Pooran’s innings. A Twitter user said, “Pooran ne churan bana diya RCB ka.”
