Former Mumbai Indians skipper and now mentor, Sachin Tendulkar has posted a long note praising Shubman Gill. Apart from this, the former also praised his own side and the defending champions, Gujarat Titans. In the long note posted on Twitter, the 2011 World Cup winner started by praising Gill. Notably, Gill’s hundred against RCB helped MI reach the playoffs. On the other hand, Gill’s hundred against MI kicked the former champions out of the tournament.
“Shubman Gill’s performance this season has been nothing short of unforgettable, marked by two centuries that left an indelible impact. One century ignited @mipaltan’s hopes, while the other dealt them a crushing blow. Such is the unpredictable nature of cricket! What truly impressed me about Shubman’s batting was his remarkable temperament, unwavering calmness, hunger for runs and astute running between the wickets.
The 2013 IPL winner added that Gill’s innings provided the Titans with the right total batting first. The former further added that the likes of Tilak Verma and Suryakumar Yadav brought MI back into the game briefly.
“In high-scoring encounters, there are always decisive moments that shape the outcome, and Shubman’s exceptional acceleration from the 12th over onwards propelled @gujarat_titans to a monumental total. The right-hander, Tendulkar further added that the defending champions, GT are a formidable side in the upcoming game against CSK.
