Amid the ongoing summit clash, the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 between India and Australia at the Oval in London, fans were delighted by the announcement of fixtures for the next WTC cycle. For the upcoming cycle of 2023-25, the Indian team is set to face Australia, South Africa and West Indies in away games while will host Bangladesh, England and New Zealand.
The WTC 2023-2025 cycle will begin with the legendary Ashes series, in which the 2023 finalists, Australia, will visit England for a five-match Test series. This historic rivalry between the two cricketing superpowers is sure to attract spectators from both countries as they compete on the tone from June 16 to July.
Meanwhile, in another much-awaited series, India will face Australia in the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia next year. Notably, the upcoming BGT will be the first series between two countries comprising five matches rather than four-match series. However, India will start their next Test cycle in July as they will face West Indies in three-match Test series on Caribbean soil.
England will play the highest number of matches in the upcoming cycle
England is scheduled to play the most number of games in the upcoming cycle, with 22 games. Australia and India are close behind, with 21 and 20 games scheduled, respectively. It is crucial to note that not all teams will play the same number of series. They will have to compete in six Test series, each consisting of two to five matches, with three series held at home and three series held away.
The World Test Championship 2023-2025 cycle’s point system is expected to remain unaffected by the previous cycle. A win is worth 12 points, a draw is worth four points, and a tie is worth six points. The percentage of points gathered will determine the standings, ensuring a fair appraisal of each squad.
Here is how fans react to the fixture of WTC 2023-25:

Why does india have to play all the four big teams of SENA in every cycle whereas some other mid tier teams escape by getting favors by escaping series with one ofthe SENA teams and that too getting to play tough teams at home and easy teams away, what's funny is they still are
