As people returned to their desks after lunch on Thursday, all they could see on social media was Mr Bean. This Mr Bean however had something different about him; this Mr Bean looked like The trend first started after a Zimbabwe Twitter user made a claim that Pakistan sent a ‘fraud Mr Bean’ to Zimbabwe.
The Twitter user Ngugi Chasura wrote, “As Zimbabweans, we won’t forgive you..you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan…we will settle the matter tomorrow just pray the rains will save you…#ZimvsPak.”

For the unaware, Pak Mr Bean is Muhammad Arif a Pakistani comedian who became famous for his resemblance with the British character Mr Bean who is originally played by actor Rowan Atkinson.
Arif is originally from Kharadar, Karachi and has been featured in many Pakistani commercials. His most famous ad is with former Pakistan cricketers Shahid Afridi. His popularity even took him to Zimbabwe once when the comedian was invited to perform at Harare Agricultural Show as the British sitcom character.

In a viral video doing the rounds of the internet, Pak Bean could be seen getting a hero’s welcome in Zimbabwe. The video shows him standing through the sunroof of a car and impersonating Mr Bean, while all dressed in the character’s brown-coloured attire.

Since then many have begun making memes and posts on Pak Bean and Cricket Australia has also joined in on the trend. Cricket Australia’s official handle tweeted, “Zimbabwe win the toss and elect to bat first against Pakistan,” with a picture of Pak Mr Bean in Zimbabwe.

The post has gained 20k likes and many comments on it so far. On Twitter user by the name of Rahul wrote, “El Classico for Mr Bean Trophy,” while one DN wrote, “Mr Bean Derby is here.”
Pakistan and Zimbabwe clash in Group 2 match in the 20-20 World Cup in Syndey on October 27th.
