The Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 has been aimed to satisfy the need for an entertaining domestic T20 League and fill the void left by KPL. The first four games have pointed towards KSCA’s success in achieving the same.
The third day of the League will bring an exciting double-header. Let’s look at the preview of the two matches.
Match 5: Gulbarga Mystics vs Shivamogga Strikers
The fifth match of the league will bring two of the bottom teams against each other. Both lost their first matches of the league and are sitting at 5th and 6th.
Gulbarga Mystics were defeated by Bengaluru Blasters in the first match by a massive 54 runs. Both, bowling and batting proved to be poor in the first match as the Mystics gave away 189 runs before faltering away at just 135 in the second innings. Manoj Bhandage (35) was the only batter to show some grit. The team would have to improve massively if they are to win this next game.
Shivmogga Strikers also has a similarly poor first match where they lost by 69 runs. Krishnappa Gowtham with two wickets and 23 runs was the only positive from the Shivmogga side.

Match 6: Bengaluru Blasters vs Hubli Tigers
Bengaluru Blasters got off to a great start in their first match of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 League. They defeated the Gulbarga Mystics by a massive 54 runs in the first match. Led by captain Mayank Agarwal (52) the Bengaluru team came up with a great batting performance to reach 189/8 in 20 overs. Aneesh KV (44) and LR Chethan (25) also came up with important runs for the team.
Rohit More (4), Kumar LR (2) and Rishi Bopanna (2) took eight wickets between them to take the Bengaluru team to a thumping win.
Hubli Tigers on the other hand, lost their first match against Mangalore United. They were let down by their batting as they could only muster 119/9 in 20 overs. They would be looking to massively improve their batting in the second match if they are to win this.
