The entirety of the National Selection Committee of the Indian Cricket Board was sacked following India’s embarrassing defeat of 10 wickets against England in the semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup.
Following Chetan Sharma’s led committee sacking, the Board requested applications for national selectors on 18th November 2022. Since then it has received a hoard of requests for the five-member committee for the board to finalise.
Among the 600-plus applications, however, there are many which are fake IDs claiming to be the legends of the game like Sachin Tendulkar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Virender Sehwag and MS Dhoni.
Following the reports of these fake submissions, there has been a buzz on the internet. Many cricket fans have now come out and made their reactions on the intriguing topic.
One user by the name of Shau commented, “Keep Venkatesh prasad away from this post.” Another by the name Ansh Nasta said, “They’ll still be better than the current selectors.”
Let’s look at how the fans reacted to fake applications for the National Selection Committee post:

Those fake IDs were from Sanjay Manjrekar because BCCI won't select him directly ?

Dinesh Karthik had earlier said that he expected the committee to be sacked. “Very interesting development. I think none of us saw it coming. It is also an opportunity for the new selectors coming in and we have to see how things unfold,” he said.
“I know this word ‘sack’ was used as lot, but I think their term was coming to an end as well. It is a tough job. Picking 15 players from a set of 40-45 players who are all good enough to represent the country it’s not going to be easy. Credit to them. They have done a good job. The new selectors have some strong decisions to take,” he added.
