Ace Indian filmmaker Zoya Akhtar is all set to impress the audience with her most awaited, ‘The Archies’. The audience are eager to watch the much-anticipated film since its announcement. The movie will mark the debut of some of the bigwig star kids of the Hindi film industry. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan‘s grandson Agastya Nanda are all set to make their big debut for the first time.
The Archies is all set to premiere this year in December. The cast also includes Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. In the film, Khushi Kapoor portrays the iconic character of ‘Betty Cooper’. Meanwhile, Agastya will be reprising the popular character ‘Archie Andrews’. Suhana Khan will be seen playing the sassy role of ‘Veronica Lodge’. Vedang Raina is reprising the role of ‘Reggie Mantle’. Mihir Ahuja would be playing the iconic role of ‘Jughead’. This film is an adaptation of the very popular Archie Comics.
Khushi Kapoor gets candid:
In a recent interview, Khushi was candid about her experience and working with the other star kids. She is playing the role of ‘goody two shoes’ Betty Cooper. So, the debutant actress was asked whether she resembles her character in real life too. To this, Khushi replied, “I’d like to think so. I think we were cast because there was so much of us that we had in our characters. There’s a lot about Betty that I see in myself as well, and I think I found that out the more I played her.”
Talking about how long the cast took to get comfortable with each other, Khushi replied, “We were forced to spend so much time together, and just going through the same experience made us bond so much. I think doing acting workshops together made us open up and be vulnerable with each other. I think towards the end of the shoot we were just kind of moving in a small herd everywhere together.”
