South superstar and pan-Indian actor Prabhas are all set to hit the theatres soon. Yes, you have read that right! The most awaited and anticipated film of the Bahubali star Salaar has finally gotten its release date. Earlier, when the makers of the movie had announced its delay the fans were very upset and disheartened. Now, the excitement is back and has become double. The reason behind it is that Salaar is all set to be released on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday!
The new announcement by the filmmakers has renewed the hopes of their fans for Salaar. Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released the theatres all around on September 28, 2023. However, the makers had to delay this and their announcement caused a lot of anguish amongst the fans. Later, rumours started spreading that the film would be released on Sankranthi 2024. However, it is a very crowded date and a delay by a lot of time crushes the hopes of the fans. After that, rumours suggested that the film might be released in March 2024. But again, this gives very little break between Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar.
Salaar gets a new release date?
These rumours really tensed the fans of the superstar Prabhas. The south superstar was last seen in the films Radhe Shyam and Adipurush. Both of the movies were a major flop and a forgettable affair. The viewers want more from the actor and have a lot of hope for him. Radhe Shyam suffered from a weak script. Meanwhile, Adipurush only did more harm than good for everyone in the film. His upcoming film Salaar will also be a big opportunity for Prabhas to regain his stardom and dominance at the box office.
Recently, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan has caused a huge stir at the box office. Tollywood has not seen a bigger hit than this in 2023. Prabhas starrer Salaar was expected to do the same, but due to some VFX issues that bothered the makers they had to delay it. Prashanth Neel is keen to deliver a product that matches the standard of cinematic excellence, expected by millions of fans of Prabhas. Another reason for doing the rounds was the fact that the producers wanted Rs 300 crores from exhibitors/distributors in the Telangana, and Andhra markets which they refused. This led to the delay.
