‘Kabhi apni batting se bhi impress kar lo for a change’ – Fans react as Ritika Sajdeh reveals Rohit Sharma jumped in the water to save her phone

India faced yet another upsetting defeat in the crunch knockout game against Australia in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC)  2023 at The Oval. The Rohit Sharma-led side India took on Australia in the summit clash from June 7-11. Australia certainly were on top for the entire five days which resulted in helping them to win their maiden World Test Championship. With this trophy, Australia has become the only team to win Championship in all three formats.

Rohit, along with the team management, needs some serious thinking going forward in all three formats considering how the results have panned out for the team in major tournaments. Currently, the Indian players are relaxing before they regroup for the West Indies series starting on July 12. The Indian skipper, Rohit was also seen doing the same.

In a recent Twitter post from the Indian skipper’s wife Ritika Sajdeh where she mentioned an interesting incident where a 36-year-old jumped into the water for saving her phone. Ritika tweeted, “My phone fell into the water and this guy jumped in to save it.” Citing this post, Twitter reacted humorously to this post.

Here are some of the rib-tickling comments on Rohit Sharma

The star Indian opener has been among the leading openers going around in the Test arena in the current times. However, the flamboyant Indian batter has been majorly criticized for his style of captaincy in the Test matches as well as him missing major assignments when India travels overseas due to injury.

All said and done, one has to agree that Sharma is among the most lethal openers in the WTC era, scoring over 1800 runs along with six centuries as well as four half-centuries to his name.  The Indian team is scheduled to travel to the Caribbean shore in the starting weeks of July to play two matches along with three One Day Internationals and followed by five T20 Internationals.
