The story arc of Jasprit Bumrah’s ruling-out has taken another turn, this time in Indian fans’ favour. A recent report coming from a cricket reporter suggests that Bumrah who is currently being monitored by the Indian Cricket Team medical team could be fit before the World Cup.
This further suggests that the Indian premium pace bowler could be ready to feature in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The report has come after the heartbreaking reports of Bumrah’s back stress fracture that had all but ended his hopes of representing the Indian tricolour in Australia.
Was travelling last couple of days so missed out on quite a bit…
So, all those worried about the possibility of Jasprit Bumrah missing the World Cup… please don't be.
He is in very good hands & the word coming out right now is extremely positive — he may fly.
Fingers ??

Jasprit Bumrah’s injury timeline
Bumrah featured in India’s tour of England where he sustained a back injury and was ruled out of the Aisa Cup 2022. India, with Bumrah absent from the bowling unit, crashed out of the continental cup after losing to Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the Super Four.
The right-arm pacer then made a comeback to the team for the three-match T20I series against Australia at home. The medical team however did not allow the 28-year-old to play in the first match citing fitness concerns. It was the second match in which he was allowed to play and he followed up with another game helping India win both of the matches and clinch the series 2-1.
Bumrah was expected to join the Indian team for the following South Africa T20I series next, however, questions were asked when he did not travel to Thiruvananthapuram (first match venue) with the team. Soon reports started to emerge that he has been side-lined for 4-6 weeks due to a back stress fracture and would miss the entirety of the World Cup.
The Indian Cricket Board confirmed his exclusion from the ongoing South Africa series and Mohammed Siraj was named as his replacement. Many had already accepted that the Ahmedabad-born bowler would not feature in the world cup which is what makes the new report all the more interesting.
India will start their World Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan on 23rd October at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
