In the 14th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Punjab Kings by 8 wickets to register their first victory of the season. Riding on Rahul Tripathi’s amazing half-century, SRH chased 144 runs in just 17.1 overs. This victory has helped Aiden Markram and Co. to make comeback to the winning ways. However, a video of SRH owner Kavya Maran is going viral on social media.
In the viral video, Kavya can be seen making some angry gestures toward Cameraman during the game. Notably, Kavya is one of the biggest enthusiasts of the game as she always comes to the stadium to cheer her team. During the first innings of the game, Kavya seemed frustrated when Shikhar Dhawan was batting, and in between, Cameraman captured her which didn’t go well with the SRH owner.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Hyderabad opted to bow first on their home ground. The decision went well with the team as they bowled well. Punjab King’s batters struggled a lot and were tottering at 88 for 9 in 15 overs. However, skipper Shikhar Dhawan held one end and scored an unbeaten 99 runs off 66 balls with the help of 12 boundaries and five sixes. Eight out of 11 Punjab batters were dismissed on the single-digit score.
Rahul Tripathi helped SRH to win the low-scoring match
After Mayank Markande’s amazing bowling performance, Rahul Tripathi helped SRH to win the game. Chashing 144 was not an easy task for Hyderabad as they lost two wickets in quick succession to get restricted to 45-2 in 8.3 overs. However, Tripathi, along with skipper Aiden Markram, added unbeaten 100 runs for the third wicket and clinched the match for Hyderabad.
Markram, in his innings, scored 37 runs off 21 balls with the help of six boundaries. Meanwhile, Tripathi scored a match-winning 74 runs off 48 balls with the help of ten boundaries and three maximums. Meanwhile, fans react to Kavya Maran’s reaction and call it unnecessary.
