Tuesday’s third T20I encounter between Guyana and the West Indies took place at Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana, where Suryakumar Yadav opened up on his 83-run match-winning innings. India defeated the home team by seven wickets in the third T20I, which they had to win to stay alive in the series. The top batter admitted that he played a joke on himself and began hitting after the first pitch.
Suryakumar Yadav was seen to be sporting a wristband which was based on the fact that he would play it safe and then accelerate according to Tilak Varma. He said, “Surya had in his wish bank that he wanted to take time in Powerplay and then start scoring freely, but he started smashing from ball 1. It’s good to bluff yourself sometimes, I fooled myself today and started hitting from ball 1”

After India defeated West Indies with seven wickets during the third T20I, Suryakumar Yadav received accolades from India’s acting captain, Hardik Pandya. Pandya remarked that having someone like Suryakumar on the team sends an indication to the others because he accepts responsibility.
Hardik Pandya spoke to the media reporters in the post-match presentation, and he said, “As Surya mentioned, they (SKY and Tilak) play together and spend time together, good to have someone like SKY in the team and when he takes responsibility it sends a message to the others.”
For the fourth and fifth T20I, which will be contested on August 12 and 13 at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, India will now take on the West Indies with a chance to level the series.
