Bangalore will take on Mumbai in one of the most awaited matches of the Indian T20 League 2022. Bangalore have got off to a decent start in the Indian T20 League, winning two of their three games. They lost their first game to Punjab but bounced back to win against Kolkata and Rajasthan. The likes of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis are in good form, while the return of Glenn Maxwell will further boost the side. Meanwhile, in Wanindu Hasaranga, they have a trump card in the bowling department. Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Akash Deep are good bowling options.
Meanwhile, Mumbai have been ordinary this season, losing all their three games. Rohit has not fired yet which has hurt the team. However, runs from Quinton de Kock will be a boost. De Kock scored 80 in Mumbai’s last game against Kolkata. Suryakumar Yadav also returned to the team with a solid half-century. Tilak Varma and Kieron Pollard are also in good form. Overall, the batting looks sorted but bowling is a cause of concern. Barring Jasprit Bumrah, the team seems to lack a genuine wicket-taker. Murugan Ashwin can be an option though. However, he will have to be consistent.
The surface at Maharashtra Cricket Association has produced different results in three games played in Pune. Two games have been won by teams batting first, while the last one was won by the team chasing. A score of over 200 has also been seen, while teams have struggled to post even 150.
